Composition. Key ingredient: iodine; 100 ml of solution contains 5 g of iodine.

Excipients: potassium iodide, ethanol 96%, purified water.

Form. Solution for external use, alcohol-based. Main Physico-Chemical Properties

A reddish-brown liquid, transparent in a thin layer, with a characteristic odor.

Indications. Used externally as a cleansing and irritant for conditions of the skin and mucous membranes, for supporting the surgical field, helping avoid irritation of minor skin injuries, and reducing irritation in myositis and neuralgia (provides a distracting effect).

Contraindications. Hypersensitivity to iodine. The product is also contraindicated in diabetic and trophic ulcers.

Special Precautions. Caution should be exercised when applying iodine to mucous membranes, as the ethanol in the preparation may cause burns and severe irritation. Avoid contact with eyes. Special caution is required for patients with light-colored hair.

The product should not be applied to large areas of the skin due to the potential risk of burns. Its use during pregnancy and breastfeeding is not recommended due to the risk of thyroid dysfunction in the fetus/infant.

In case of overuse, discomfort of iodism may occur (runny nose, urticaria, angioedema, lacrimation, salivation, acne-like rash), burns, and skin irritation. 

Side Effects. Possible side effects include runny nose, urticaria, angioedema, lacrimation, salivation, skin rashes, and contact dermatitis. If any adverse reactions occur, consult a doctor.
