The entire level of L-Thyroxine (L-Thyroxine) is taken at one time, preferably in the morning, on an empty stomach 30 minutes before meals, with a sufficient amount of water. For infants, the piece is crushed and dissolved in a small amount of water, the resulting suspension is given 30 minutes before the first morning feeding, the suspension must be prepared immediately before taking.

The use of the product is selected individually, taking into account the weight, age, severity and nature of the condition, laboratory parameters characterizing the functional state of the thyroid gland. Usually, the initial level for adults with hypothyroidism and euthyroid goiter is 25-100 mcg per day, then the level is gradually increased every 2-3 weeks by 25-50 mcg until the maintenance level is reached. For children, the initial level is 12.5-50 mcg per day, the maintenance level is achieved in the same way as for adults.

In severe hypothyroidism or in case of long-standing hypothyroidism, the initial levels are reduced and the use is increased more slowly: support should be started with special caution, with small levels - from 25 mcg/day, the use is increased to the maintenance level after longer intervals - by 25 mcg/day every 2 weeks and the TSH level in the blood is determined more often. In case of hypothyroidism, L-Thyroxine Berlin-Chemie is usually taken for life. In case of malignant tumors of the thyroid gland after surgery, 150-300 mcg per day is recommended. In case of hypothyroidism caused by the removal of part or all of the thyroid gland, levothyroxine is taken for life. For diagnostics using the suppression scintigram method, levothyroxine is recommended at a level of 200 mcg per day for 14 days, or 300 mg once a week before a repeat test. For precise use of the product, the most appropriate level of L-Thyroxine Berlin-Chemie should be used (50, 75, 100, 125 or 150 mcg).

In case of thyrotoxicosis, L-Thyroxine Berlin-Chemie is used in combination with thyreostatics after achieving a euthyroid state. In all cases, the duration of support with the product is determined by the doctor.

- use during pregnancy in combination with antithyroid agents.
