Composition. Potassium iodide (iodine - 50 mcg).

Indications for Use. Used to prevent the development of hyperthyroidism, endemic goiter; for inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract, bronchial asthma; for eye conditions (cataract, corneal and vitreous clouding, hemorrhage in the eye membrane), as well as for fungal infections of the conjunctiva and cornea. An important property of the drug is its ability to prevent the accumulation of radioactive iodine in the thyroid gland and provide protection from radiation exposure.

Recommended as an auxiliary agent for the prevention of thyroid diseases; to improve the mental and physical development of children; and for individuals living in ecologically adverse conditions or exposed to radiation.
