Cefecon D (paracetamol) has supportive, cooling, and mild soothing effects. The product is well tolerated and is characterized by a rapid onset of effect after use. Paracetamol works through both central and peripheral mechanisms.
 Indications It is used to support children aged 6 months to 12 years for:
 temperature associated with irritation conditions (seasonal discomfort, acute respiratory irritations, etc.);
 mild to moderate pain of various origins, including headache, neuralgia, migraine, toothache, pain from injuries, and burns.
 Administration The product is administered rectally. Cut the package with scissors, remove the suppository, and insert it into the child’s rectum after an enema or spontaneous bowel movement. The product is administered 2-3 times daily.
 Single uses for children:
 6-12 months: 1.5-2 suppositories containing 0.05 g of paracetamol, or 0.5-1 suppository containing 0.1 g of paracetamol;
 1-3 years: 1-1.5 suppositories containing 0.1 g of paracetamol;
 3-5 years: 1.5-2 suppositories containing 0.1 g of paracetamol;
 5-10 years: 1-1.5 suppositories containing 0.25 g of paracetamol;
 10-12 years: 1.5-2 suppositories containing 0.25 g of paracetamol.
 The average single use is 10-12 mg/kg of the child’s body weight. The maximum daily use should not exceed 40 mg/kg of body weight. The duration as an cooling is 3 days, as a supportive — 5 days. If necessary, the course can be extended after consulting a specialist.
 Contraindications Individual hypersensitivity to paracetamol; severe liver and kidney dysfunction; glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency; blood disorders. Use with caution in Gilbert's syndrome.
