It has a sedative effect and a moderate reflex vasodilatory effect caused by irritation of sensitive nerve endings. It stimulates the production and release (due to irritation of mucous membrane receptors) of enkephalins, endorphins and a number of other histamine kinin peptides that take an active part in regulating vascular permeability and forming pain sensations.

With sublingual (sublingual) administration, the therapeutic effect develops approximately 5 minutes after taking the drug, with up to 70% of the drug being released within 3 minutes.
