Marsh cinquefoil (rhizomes) is a biologically active food supplement. The chemical composition of marsh cinquefoil has not yet been fully studied. It contains various organic acids, provitamin A, vitamin C, essential oils and tannins.

A decoction and infusion exhibit antibacterial activity. According to pharmacological studies by I.V. Kravchenko, carried out at the Lviv Medical Institute (1950), marsh cinquefoil preparations have an anti-inflammatory effect and have a stimulating effect on the cardiovascular system, respiratory and digestive organs, and on the smooth muscles of the uterus.

Use

Pour 1 teaspoon (2.0 g) with 1 glass (200 ml) of boiling water, leave for 10-15 minutes, strain, take adults and children over 14 years old 1/4 glass (50 ml) 2 times a day during meals warm. Duration of administration is 3-4 weeks. If necessary, the administration can be repeated.
