The antiseptic effect of hydrogen peroxide is not sterilizing; when it is used, only a temporary decrease in the number of microorganisms occurs. Abundant foaming promotes thrombus formation and stops bleeding from small vessels.

Use

To treat wounds, the solution is applied to the damaged area of skin.

To rinse the mouth and throat, apply to the mucous membranes, dissolve one tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide in a glass of water.

For applications, the affected area is treated with a gauze or cotton swab moistened with a solution of hydrogen peroxide.

Avoid contact of the solution with the eyes.

Not used for irrigation of cavities. It is not recommended to use under occlusive dressings. The drug is unstable in light and heat.
