Precautionary measures
It is necessary to prevent the drug from getting into the eyes and mucous membranes.
When treating with the drug, it is necessary to adhere to the rules of personal hygiene; smoking, drinking alcoholic beverages and food are prohibited.
In case of accidental exposure to the drug:
in the mouth: rinse the mouth with water or warm 2% sodium bicarbonate solution;
into the stomach: if you accidentally use the drug orally, you should immediately consult a doctor;
in the eyes: rinse thoroughly with water or 1% sodium bicarbonate solution; if the mucous membrane of the eyes is irritated, drip with a 30% solution of albucid, if pain occurs - with a 2% solution of novocaine;
After completing the course of treatment, drug control is required for 2 weeks, or more if there are complications).
Treatment of patients in the same outbreak, as well as contact persons, should be carried out simultaneously.
Complications in the form of pyodermatitis and eczema should be treated simultaneously with scabies and continue after its elimination.
Before starting treatment for scabies, the patient should take a shower to mechanically remove mites from the surface of the skin, as well as to fluff up the surface layer of the epidermis (to facilitate penetration of the drug).
After each forced hand washing, they must be sanitized again. Be sure to treat underwear and bed linen, outerwear and hats.
All linen and anything that came into contact with the affected skin should be thoroughly processed. To do this, bed linen, underwear, towels and outerwear should be washed at a temperature not lower than 60 ° C. Outerwear can also be ironed on both sides with a hot iron. Items that cannot be heat treated can be hung outdoors for 3 days. To disinfect some things (children's toys, shoes), you can use a method of temporarily excluding them from use, for which they are placed in hermetically sealed plastic bags for at least 3 days. Carpets, mattresses and upholstered furniture should be thoroughly vacuumed, treated with disinfectants or subjected to chamber disinfection. The apartment must be cleaned, the floors washed with detergents or the addition of disinfectants.
