Belosalik ointment for external use 0.05% + 3% 15 g

A small amount of ointment should be evenly spread over the skin surface, gently rubbed in. Application frequency is twice daily; in mild cases, once daily may suffice.

The duration of continuous treatment is typically limited to 3-4 weeks. If a longer course of therapy is necessary, the product should be used less frequently, for example, every other day. For chronic conditions, treatment should continue for some time after all symptoms have disappeared, under the supervision of a physician, to prevent disease recurrence.

Repeat courses of therapy may be conducted throughout the year.

The use of Belosalik (in the form of ointment and/or solution for external use) during pregnancy is permitted when the anticipated benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus. In such cases, application should be brief and limited to small areas of skin.

During breastfeeding, the use of Belosalik is possible under strict indications; however, the product should not be applied to the skin of the breast before feeding.

**Contraindications:**

- Tuberculosis of the skin.
- Cutaneous manifestations of syphilis.
- Chickenpox.
- Viral skin infections.
- Post-vaccination skin reactions.
- Open wounds.
- Trophic ulcers.
- Rosacea.
- Vulgar acne.
- Children under 6 months of age (for the ointment).
- Increased sensitivity to betamethasone, salicylic acid, or any of the auxiliary components of the drug.

**Side effects:**

Side effects are generally mild.

Dermatological reactions may include hypersensitivity reactions (itching, burning, redness); rarely, acne-like changes, hypopigmentation, stretch marks, skin atrophy, hypertrichosis, telangiectasias, and secondary skin infections.

With prolonged continuous use and on large skin areas, betamethasone may cause systemic side effects associated with adrenal suppression.

If hypersensitivity reactions or side effects occur, the drug should be discontinued.

**Interactions:**

No clinically significant interactions with other drugs have been noted.

Simultaneous use of cosmetics and dermatological products for acne therapy, products containing ethanol, or medical soaps with a strong drying effect may, in certain cases, cause skin irritation.
