 Pharmacological Action
 ASEPTA Gum Balm is a combined remedy designed for use in infectious-inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity.
 The effectiveness of the product is due to the presence of antibacterial components, such as metronidazole and chlorhexidine.
 Metronidazole is a nitroimidazole derivative active against anaerobic protozoa and anaerobic bacteria causing periodontal disease.
 Chlorhexidine is a broad-spectrum antiseptic, effective against vegetative forms of gram-negative and gram-positive microorganisms, yeasts, dermatophytes, and lipophilic viruses. The effect of the balm is complemented by the bactericidal properties of peppermint essential oil and the refreshing effect of menthol.
 The adhesive base of the balm, consisting of pectin and carboxymethylcellulose, swells upon application to the mucous membrane and fixes for 15-30 minutes, allowing the active components to act locally and for an extended period in the inflammation area within the oral cavity.
 It has a pronounced antibacterial effect. Relieves gum inflammation and bleeding. Freshens breath.
 Indications
 Acute and chronic gingivitis. Acute and chronic periodontitis. Stomatitis.
 Contraindications
 Individual intolerance to the components of the balm (including chlorhexidine, metronidazole, and nitroimidazole derivatives).
