Composition

Active ingredient: 1 tablet contains Mukaltin 50 mg; excipients: lactose monohydrate, sodium croscarmellose, magnesium carbonate, aspartame, talc, calcium stearate.

Dosage form Tablets.

Main physical and chemical properties: tablets grayish-brown with specks, flat-cylindrical, with a score line and bevel.

Pharmacotherapeutic group Expectorants.

Pharmacological properties Mukaltin® is an effective expectorant, whose action is due to secretolytic and broncholytic properties. The drug has a mild antitussive effect, reducing the number and intensity of coughing fits. It has softening, anti-inflammatory, and coating properties. Normalizes altered bronchopulmonary secretion, improves mucus clearance: reduces its viscosity and adhesive properties, facilitates movement of mucus from lower to upper respiratory tract, and eases expectoration.

Indications Cough in acute and chronic respiratory diseases accompanied by thick and viscous bronchial secretions and/or impaired expectoration: bronchitis, pneumonia, bronchiectasis, bronchial asthma.
