This is a combination drug and is used for colds accompanied by cough. When applied externally, the ointment has an antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, irritant and distracting effect. The versatility of the ointment's therapeutic effect is due to the active ingredients included in its composition. The largest content in the drug is camphor, which has an analgesic, local irritant and antipruritic effect. Levomenthol contained in the drug has vasodilatory properties. A substance from the pharmacological group of phenols, thymol, is used as an effective antiseptic and antimicrobial agent. Eucalyptus and turpentine (turpentine) oils facilitate nasal breathing during colds and relieve inflammation during back pain. Finally, nutmeg oil has the ability to negatively affect the production of the main mediators of inflammatory processes - prostaglandins.
